Very magical feel. How did you do this one? Can you supply some details? How much Photoshop, and what tools did you use? Would like to learn from you. Thank you for a very enjoyable photo.

John, they (the photographers from Indonesia like Rarindra Prakarsa) never tell you what they do! They all use the very same technique, whatever that is, and never divulge any information! I speculate that they use some sort of plug-in that they are only aware of!

It is amazing, I do admire their skills in manipulating the picturs. They do for sure turn out nice and VERY appealing to the eyes.

I heard from sonone saying that this is rather a simple picture but applying the technique makes it amazingly different. If you compare this picture with other pictures from the Indonesian photographers on this site, you will know and see the resemblence. That suggests that they all use the very same technique, some very well and some a bit poorly.

Having said all that, I am NOT able to produce / manipulate any picture like these masters do!

Regards - Hasan

I love this technique. I would say that 90% of what made the picture was in PhotoShop and 10% camera. Never the less...great photoshop work. Keep up the good work.

The picture is great, but if I am honest and I look throught perspective of photo... I think there is to much Photoshop style in the game... This is not a photo anymore... 5/5

This is a very beautiful images.

To those who commented, I suggest you visit Indonesia. Southeast Asia is simply amazing. Nature is very green, storms are very strong and people are very smiley. Light varies much between boring Grey to unbelievable pastel tones.

I dont think there is a plugin that makes people smile and converts normal light into stunning.

Hi I' from Indonesia, let's Me tell a bit about photos taken in Indonesia.

I have been taken pictures in many place in Indonesia, some place are usual and some place are very good place to take picture, in this location you will not believe that ray of light there, but not for all the time or all the month, they should wait for good weather. It just happen in few month.

they(the indonesians) aren't some magical people with magical light! obviously its some sort of computer program. I too thought it was PS but after spending ten minutes online searching for some answers I found a couple of things but the one that seemed to work the best was a program called Mystical Lighting. I assume most of these photos were created using this program and layers in photoshop. I downloaded the free trial (which doesn't let you save any images so I can't show you what I did) and after about 5-10 minutes of messing around I had created something that was pretty realistic. if you are interested go to

http://www.autofx.com/products/MysticalLighting/detail.html

and click on "Demo" to try it out! I found that the "ethereal" effect worked best and set that to work on "softlightcast" (gave me most control)

anyways I think that used with some other lighting effects within Mystical lighting matched with photoshop would/could give you that effect! wow that was a mouth full but it had to be said!!! I was reading some posts on this guys photos and he keeps saying "its all natural light!" yeah right it was making me furious that people would even believe him! anyways give it a shot you should be pretty happy with the results but if you do want to buy the software it will set you back $179.00

Agah,

Most of the photographs in this folio were painstakingly produced. I could just imagine how many hours you spent taking as well as editing them.

You are quite consistent in creating light paintings. I suppose the originals are good shots. No doubt about how good you arrange the elements and the way you color them.

You know your camera however limited its capability. You are familiar with the natural studio and modern darkroom too.

I just hope what the pictures evoked regarding a preserved environment is being sustained by the subjects captured.

Let me learn more from the likes of you.

Rey
