tdelaney 0 Posted July 13, 2007 Keep it simple, but not too simple. Consider, perhaps, variations of this image that suggest or hint at a horizon while keeping a shallow depth of field. This should orient the viewer's sense of foreground and background without ruining the subtle work you've done in this image. The effect would remain the same: subtle color and texture and an emhasis on the stare between the viewer and the horse. This image has a quiet sensibility. Consider the rule of thirds for placing the eye. I'm needing slightly more in the left half to balance the composition, but not too much more. Great job! Link to comment
milsiebert 0 Posted July 13, 2007 Thanks a lot for your comment. I've thought about the rule of thirds for this one as well, only...after taking the picture;)this was a 'spur of the moment', the horse just stopped for a second to observe the guy with a weird thing in front of his face (being me;) and then went on his way. I'm going to come back to the place where i took this one a few times over the next month so i'll try to get it right.Expect more of this kind soon;) Link to comment
marcrogoff 0 Posted July 13, 2007 Nice shot - would probably look good in Black and white too. Nice and subtle... Marc Link to comment
