Beau, wow. A lot of torque and circumstance behind these common city elements. Very well balanced but not at all static. Had the balloons been lighter, it would have thrown off the whole composition. I particularly like the anonymity of the steet signs, the subdued festivity of the balloons, the way the light descends diagonally and opens up the steam/smoke and cocked in the lower corner, the flag. The art of it all allows one a whole range of personal response. Thanks for showing this.
