torfinn 0 Posted July 13, 2007 A very good shot, Kenneth! I would have lightened it a little, for better details on the building, but maybe it is my screen. Good colours, composition, and a wonderful sky. Best regards from Tarnaby, Sweden! Torfinn. Link to comment
stormphotonet 1 Posted July 13, 2007 Thanks Torfinn I thought that people may feel or see this photo that way and what I tried for is to show the flags being fired with light from the sun at the time of day when the shadows are at there longest points. This is the south side of the Capital and faces a little even to the east so at sunset it gets no light at all from the sun but these flag out away from the building just light like fire and even the one on top of the first part of the building, the one at the start of the dome are to me just a big wow to these two photos. The two photos I have of it just do not do it justice, at any rate that is all for me making excuses for the Capital being to dark it is to dark. But that is what I was shooting for the flags. Thanks Torfinn for you honesty on my work. Link to comment
torfinn 0 Posted July 13, 2007 Thanks for that information. I guess I was a little bit after the architecture this time. I think it is a wonderful old building. It is a great play with colours, light, and shadows. Have a nice weekend! Regards, Torfinn. Link to comment
stormphotonet 1 Posted July 13, 2007 Thanks Torfinn you have a good one too! They just put on a new dome I am hoping to go back in two or three weeks to shoot inside if I can I am not for sure if I can take photos inside, it is a government building so I will need to find out I have seen photos of the new dome from inside and it is very beautiful with light coming in from all sides. If I am able to shoot I will post them, it is something to see thanks again Torfinn Link to comment
