Just playing around with the macro lens.

I like this! While some macro shot demand high detail, the softness and colors work here. At least for me.

Very beautiful composition. On my monitor some of the filaments in the center of the image are broken. Not sure if this is due to sharpening, or lack of resolution.

I don't peruse the top rated pages much these days, but I'm glad I found this. The balance between sharp and blurred is effective, as is the subtle color, and of course, the overall composition. Quite beautiful.

Lyrical, really, in its treatment of focus and line.

Thankyou all for your generous comments. I have become quite fascinated with this seedhead and the infinite variations to be extracted from it. It's all great fun!
