I honestly believe that this composition could not have been any better than it is even if you tried....!

Truly magnificent !

I really need to say thanks for your friendly comments and to some people thanks also for continue following my photos each week. Certainly I feel very happy with both things. I'm sorry because I can't follow yours...

Waaaaaaayyyyyy to much emphasis on the foreground wave. The whole scene is cast in dark, soft tones. The foreground exceeds even the sun itself in brightness. I don't know is something went wrong with a blend, there was too much dodging or what, but the tones are terribly unnatural. The foreground catches the eye and keeps it there. It is a big distraction IMO. I'd rework this from the start at more natural tonal levels. It's a beautiful image with lots of potential otherwise.

Well Marc, I really appreciate you explained your 4/4, it is not usual in this place. The first thing I need to say is that you are in a mistake with blend. In this case, the image has been only adjusted with the bw balances to show a pure white in the foreground wave. The original raw image has not significant differences with this one.

I need to explain that I don't like to use blending and I never use it. In the case of this shoot I used 2 cokin p121 and 2 bw 501 to balance the sky and foreground. As you know, cokin filters sometimes give you a magenta tones and your unnatural tones are thanks to these filters.

Thanks other time for your time viewing and for your comment and critique.

I didn't claim you actually used a blend. Just offering that as one possible explaination, which I now see was the result of filter use and post processing adjustment - not a blend. Regardless of how it happened, the foreground is excessively bright. More than the sun itself, more than the reflections on the water, and it is so different tonally than any other area it looks far out of place. The original file would not have showed such contrasts here. Your work is usually far more fluid and cohesive than this. It's usually among the best anywhere....

Marc, the only thing I can say is that I like this photo, although I think yours are infinitely best. Is true that this one is quite different than the others of my portfolio, but, sometimes, I like to experiment. Thanks for your comment and critique other time.
