This child's eyes are obviously the dominant feature, but I like the open mouth just as much. Also, the tint is neutral which draws me into her. What a great kid shot!

Instead of a shot of what's in the air, you've offered us a reaction to it. She looks surprised and mystified. (I think I had the same expression when I heard Collin's drum solo in the middle of the song). What beautiful eyes, really drinking in everything!

Nice twist on the theme, as Jeff said, it's a reaction to what's "in the air tonight". Very original and well thought out.

Thank you all, so much. I thought she had the "Oh my God" expression of an adult, but the original colour wasn't dramatic enough. I tried a couple of variations before stumbling into DCE(digital camera/colour enhancer) in MediaChance's PhotoBrush editor. Thought it would be B&W as it was a single slider contolling all colour channels, but it mainly removed the flesh tones. It made the mouth and eyes predominant, so I quit while I was ahead.

Micki, it was flash fill and here's the original.Glad you all enjoyed it.

Nice work and interpretation, Doug. But I prefer your original shot.

Best regards

Wonderful adaption to the title. I prefer this one over the original. Great work! ~Danielle

Very interesting take on the theme. Her expression is absolutely perfect - really evokes curiosity about what she sees. Well done!

Totally agree with the above. Never thought of a "reaction" image. Very well done. And I must say, great detail in the eyes.

Hi Doug! Great choice the song club title. I just joined yesterday and I can see I'm going to learn a lot. The eyes are so clear and expressive. (but of course you knew that). :)

Her eyes don't look like ones of a human in still life; she is beyond of just a ponder in a moment. Set of the saturation/composition drives it distinctive and evoking thoughts: what was the moment of this wonder, with radiance reflected in her face speaking enigma. It's a big thing be it even a joke. Aliens are coming / they are within ourselves (just questioning).
