Just beautiful Bert, great colours and the light is wonderfull.I agree with you about the rubbish.Can,t believe how many have stopped listing on the site.Good thing I am busy and don,t have much time to get on anymore.Off soon and into the wilds.

Thanks for your comments...I have been invited to visit Zimbabwe,Botswanaand Namibia in January or February of 2008. Sounds an awful long time in the future, but it'll be here before we turn around. I am already getting excited. The Chobe Dessert, the Okawanga Delta, the Kalahari and then back via Namibia...Why don't you come along?

I think too many people get jaded, but I couldn't pass this up. This is a superb image, a thing of beauty. We have a lily in the western U.S., the glacier lily, that looks somewhat like this, but yellow. Gorgeous composition and exposure, my friend. Well done, don't give up on PN, Bert, there are those who care. I like your work, and that of many, many others. Cheers! Chris

Perfect capture

Hi, Bert! Beautiful image! Especially well done with the connective stem being in such perfect focus at the top of the flower to give it a "reason" for being suspended in mid air like that. I took something similar just a couple days ago and was not too pleased with the result...your image has shown me why and what to do in the future to best capture this lovely flower. Thanks!

This is one of my favorite flowers, Bert. Thanks for sharing such a nice image. They have not bloomed here yet. I hope to get a good image of this type of lily this year.
