Nice lighting. I like the cropped version, the slightly asymmetrical is much more engaging.

I prefer the more open feel of the uncropped version. The porch frames the lighthouse beautifully. Though the subject is dead center, the porch gives the illusion of the lighthouse not being centered

What a charming place!

Your photo reproduce the peaceful mood of this scene very well. There are tons of sunset/sunrise pictures on PN, yet most of them are "you see one - you see all"; but this one is not like them. Congratulations!

Exquisite composition, incredible control on exposure, very nice framed image again, Wilson!!! Best regards

Hey Wilson ~ from what I remember, you must like this lighthouse and dwellings.

To try and answer your question, does one have to be better, they are both great, just different. I may possibly get a better 'feeling' from the more open porch.

Looks like they've repainted since you last presented photos of this spot.

I like the " breathing space" in the uncropped version, even both are nice but slightly different.

Beautiful light, and well cropped, as the porch is like framing the lighthouse.

Nice to meet you again Wilson.
