hi janis, wonderful capture ! Composition is perfect, and you can see that this is hard working poor man. "cutting" his eyes off, it seems you save his dignity. Very altruistic.

I love this picture...the crop, the tones, and the feeling. But what puzzles me is this: His right hand is in the position to be holding a spoon, maybe just raising it from the bowl....but the spoon is gone. Did you take it out? Was it distractingly bright? What's going on here?

I didn't take it out - the spoon is completely covered by fingers. You can notice a small fraction of it between a finger and bowl. Glad you liked it. Janis
