yves_p 0 Posted July 6, 2007 This afternoon, these poppies were dancing in the breeze and it looks as if they were all singing...Please critique. Thanks. Link to comment
torfinn 0 Posted July 8, 2007 A very good shot, Yves. Wonderful colours, composition, details, and DOF. Thanks for your most useful, and kind comments. Best regards, Torfinn. Link to comment
kirk d 0 Posted July 14, 2007 Yves, the colors in this image contrast nicely. If these flowers are still blooming, and the scene can be shot again, I would be interested in seeing how it would look with the flowers and background in focus as well as the flowers in focus and the background slightly out but not so blurry that you can't make out the hard edged seed pods.Speaking of which, the hard sharp edges of the seed heads contrast nicely with the soft flower blooms; makes the image quite interesting.Of the three you posted, I like this one with the blooms pointing back at the viewer showing their throats. yves_p 0 Posted July 14, 2007 Kirk, Thank-you for your interesting comments. The three pictures were taken at a few seconds interval with the wind blowing. That is why the poppies are slightly out of focus (they 'dance' in the breeze). I'll see if I can reduce the DOF and increase the speed to have the poppies in focus on a blurred background. Regards. May I ask you the permission to use your Lil'Sweetie for my portrait drawings (see http://www.imagesyves.net/Html/DPortraits4.htm)? I'll send you a copy. Thanks. Yves P. Link to comment

cherlyn 1 Posted August 23, 2007 Nice floral work. I like the colour contrast of the red poppis against the 'rusty' tones of the grass blades. Very nice. Link to comment
giidii 0 Posted March 10, 2008 especially when viewed "larger", this is very good work! I'd slighty crop it different (if it was cropped) and make the luminosity a bit higher. Link to comment
v_ino_aus 0 Posted October 15, 2009 I like this. Nice contrast and colour. Good position of the red flower. Good luck in future. /V:A Link to comment
