It was my intention to make the front of the mandolin so dark that the strings and frets are barely visible, while highlighting the curve of the bowl brightly. This is not quite dark enough.

An interesting, almost abstract study of forms. Although you may not have achieved the goal you were after, the image is interesting and worth contemplating nonetheless.

I took these as an exploration of the shape of the instrument. I wanted to remove the "instrument" almost completely so all that remains is shape. But not quite this time. Next time will be better.

Pierre, if I could make only the outline silhouette without any light on the front, or on the background, I would be happy, but perhaps you would not ;-)
