One of the most recent pictures of the mandolin.

I wish the strings and frets to the right side were a little sharper. Letting it fade out of the depth of field is a good idea, however I think it does so a little too much. Perhaps a bit more key light to make the strings stand our more would also help. I like the idea and think you should try again.

Thanks for your comment. I was trying to put as little light on the strings and frets as possible, to make them only barely visible. I resorted to a flat gray reflector to do that. I think they are still a little too bright.
