torfinn 0 Posted July 4, 2007 Great colours, details, and DOF. Best regards, Torfinn. Link to comment
jan_piller 0 Posted July 4, 2007 I'm gonna be the bad guy now. Everybody is saying nice DOF but I find it could be a bit better as I find that bloom out front has lost some focus and it distracts me from the overall image. Which I love by the way! It's real and it's the way you saw it but I would tell Andrew to pick up his toys from the yard when he's done with them. Link to comment
mvisionphotography 1 Posted July 4, 2007 I totally understand what you are saying but trying to not just be flower girl. Working on the "what is in the backgound too" AND, if you can get him to pick up his toys I will kiss your feet! HA HA HA. Hmmm I think that gives me an Idea for doing a picture of someone's room. ;) Link to comment
jan_piller 0 Posted July 4, 2007 I like the composition of the other one as it gives the net a little more space and there's a bit more green foliage - but I like the new one as the whole bud seems more in focus. So I'm torn. I think it's great you're looking more at composition and background - so easy to just snap a picture isn't it - and then we see afterwards that's there's some kinda crap in the background. Andrew - PICK UP YOUR TOYS!!! Link to comment
joanbn 0 Posted July 5, 2007 Very pretty flower, Micki... As Jan pointed out, focus is a bit off but still a nice composition. The photo you attached is much more in focus. Good job! Link to comment
dee 14 0 Posted July 5, 2007 As much as I enjoy the space of the first one... The second one is the better photo IMHO Link to comment
mvisionphotography 1 Posted July 5, 2007 When I do things like this normally the idea is to go OOPS look what is behind there (even tho that is my plan) so this one here is to wide. I didn't really look at the other one to hard because it had that second ball in it (this one is behind the plant). Sometimes when you post at night it is hard to tell and be smart in what to post. dennis jones 0 Posted July 5, 2007 and I agree with Darren... Pinks are just tuff to shoot... Link to comment
jan_piller 0 Posted July 5, 2007 I've heard that before - why are pinks so hard to shoot I wonder..... Link to comment
gerfoy3 0 Posted July 5, 2007 The second one Micki is a much better shot...Personally I'd like a bit more DOF so we could make out more of the backend scene as it has a lot of importance in the image. Ger.. Link to comment
mvisionphotography 1 Posted July 6, 2007 I'm waiting for Steve's camera to get here so I can try out a NIKON! Kind of like waiting for HELL to freeze over ~ he he LOL I have to go out and try this one again (sad to say the bloom is almost gone) but I will try with the plan and my son. :) Link to comment
