mmene 0 Posted July 4, 2007 Bravo Micki. This is really a good capture. One of your best. Link to comment
gjhigh 2 Posted July 4, 2007 Awe, to be where you never have a shortage of magnificent sunsets to capture. Great contrast and color, plus lovely artistic placement of the grass and sun. Wall Hanger! Greg Link to comment
mvisionphotography 1 Posted July 4, 2007 Yep lots of grass and water (hmm must be ahhhh Kansas) nope FLORIDA, HA Link to comment
rogerleekam 0 Posted July 4, 2007 Micki, happy July fourth. These are two superb sunset images with lovely color and reflections. The silhouette compositions are excellent with this one being the better for me. Link to comment
ciana_high 0 Posted July 4, 2007 Those clouds really say it all, I love the light on the undersides. Link to comment
anthonyd 0 Posted July 5, 2007 Better than 99% of firework shots! But...do we need to talk about horizon levels? : ) Link to comment
mvisionphotography 1 Posted July 5, 2007 It was a hard call ~ it is very deceiving ~ somebody help me figure out what to do in this instance. Which way to go? I could have gone any which way so I went this way ~ and actually in the bigger picture the line was easier to be seen and then this is cropped down. Link to comment
mvisionphotography 1 Posted July 5, 2007 BUT, hey not manipulated ;) ~ ha AND this is the same shoot where my toes are in it on another picture so my toes got in the way ~ he he Thanks for noticing the horizon as I will fix it before printing. Link to comment
anthonyd 0 Posted July 5, 2007 I believe it was Fred who pointed out, on one of Jan's pictures, that what actually IS is not as important as what is perceived by the viewer. I would go this way. But it is your photo, not mine! Link to comment
mvisionphotography 1 Posted July 5, 2007 http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=5871428 HA ~ yep I liked what you did ~ I should have looked at it better when I uploaded it. Link to comment
j.k._york 0 Posted July 5, 2007 SWEET. the reeds balance the sun perfectly. the colors are breathtakingly beautiful. just super work micki. take care, J.K. Link to comment
anthonyd 0 Posted July 5, 2007 I would put this right up there with "Through the grass"! It's just so calming and really portrays the feeling of being there. I lightened it up just a tad and increased the color a bit as well. Very cool Micki! Link to comment
bartimeus1 0 Posted July 5, 2007 I really like the atmosphere in this one. Everything balances well, even though I do prefer the leveled version. Strong "being there"-message comes throuhg this image. Good one! Alpo Link to comment
hansendj 0 Posted August 8, 2007 Wow! I'm mesmerized by this! The only bad part about this photo is the fact that its not five times this size and hanging on my wall right now. Its so well composed, balanced, exposed...everything! Okay, one small thing...not sure if anyone else had mentioned this, but the reflection of the sun is a little too bright, but not bad. Beautiful shot! Link to comment
mvisionphotography 1 Posted August 9, 2007 when printed it is fabulous! :) I assure you ~ ha AND the toes ccan be seen much better. I hate reducing things. BLAH Thank you for loving it! Link to comment
