jennifercatron 9 Posted July 7, 2007 This is a wax statue in a museum in Washington DC. Because of low lighting, and the fact that the museum has a guard protecting this statue I wasn't allowed to use a tripod, so I layed on the floor, with the camera on the floor and took the shot. I was for a bit as much a spectacle as the wax man, but I like the shot I got from it. Link to comment
vtennyson 0 Posted July 7, 2007 Hi Jennifer. I'm really glad you posted this. I was in Cyprus last year and I saw a documentary that included this statue but it was in Italian, translated to Greek and I couldn't understand any of it:) It's a striking statue and I've wondered about its location as recently as yesterday! I think you took the shot from a good angle with a nice crop. Did you take any others that show the scale of the statue?Thanks,V10 Link to comment
jennifercatron 9 Posted July 7, 2007 but none with any reference, I had seen tons of pictures using flash, and they just didn't do this fella any good at all, so this was what I came up with. Link to comment
frankphoto 0 Posted August 20, 2007 Dia dhuit Jennifer, You're a very wicked lady to be posting shots like this...but I just love it....it appeals to my quirky Irish sense of humour!!! His name is probably Morgan, spelled with a large M and a small ORGAN (geddit). (Apologies to any others with this monicker). Slan....FRANK. Link to comment
terry_jones3 0 Posted October 10, 2007 It is very brave to post a picture of your naked husband on the net, but that's cool. Great picture. Link to comment
divo 0 Posted November 13, 2007 i like the perspective here. those feet are amazing, so much detail in the skin. alternately, if you were into photoshop wizardry, when i first saw this shot my first thought was that it would make a great portrait of a cyclops. there is something 'epic' about this shot.
