These are 3 of our 5 grandson's, Jake (9), Ethan (5) & baby Rocco (8 weeks). The 2 two year olds were meandering around. One refused to step foot on the white paper(Eli). The other walked on & off the paper. It was like a zoo trying to capture the 2 year olds :) Thus "Minus 2's"

Thank you for your comment :) It is big. It's difficult to really tell the sharpness until printed. Which I hope I can do very soon :)

The lighting on this one was particularly hard to set up. Jake (the oldest) is very dark complected, Ethan & baby Rocco are very fair. I used 4 lights. 2 on the background. Then I used 2 large soft-boxes set at 45 degrees to them. The one on my left was the main light, set much higher than the one on my left. Thus, creating the slight shadow on my right. This also helped to give them a little shadow at their feet, so as to keep them anchored to the ground, so they are not floating in air:)

The lighting was the easy part though. I had 3 parents & 1 other grandparent, plus 2, 2 year olds meandering & crying in my background. It was a learning experience :) I will never do it like this again. Next time, all parents will stay away, I will have an assistant, who is NOT a relative, help with positioning, etc.

What happened was, all the adults were telling the kids to look at me, but instead, they were looking at their parents :( It was very hard with all the confusion to concentrate :) Plus, I took this at my new studio, I do not have the shades for the windows yet, so there was some natural light filtering in. I had to compensate the lighting for this too.

Again, thank you :)

Creative and well executed. Love the all white bg and the clarity and interest of the poses. As usual, great work on the eyes of the two older kids. Thanks for the tips on how you studio-lighted this one. Nicely done and I'm sure this will be a family treasure.
