Great capture David. I like the composition, the texture and colors. I'm amazed at how little noise there is considering such a long exposure. HOw did you achieve that? Did you use a noise reduction software? In any case well done. Regards - michel

yes I did use a little 'ninjitsu' to calm things down but really it is to do with a good exposure. As long as the image is exposed more towards the right of the histogram you can always darken the image for a more natural look in Photoshop levels. That way you dont induce noise, but simply repress it by darkening the result. Then some reduction and you are away... glad you like it.

Well its a bit difficult, but you can see the rocks and the general form of the image even at 11pm+ in the summer months, there were bright patches in the sky so there was some available light. I also use a head torch to help things. The focusing is all done hyperfocally so you dont have to worry about that.
