family & friends Jake

Jake is my oldest grandson (9). He's use to his NaNa taking pictures. In fact, I think he actually likes it! Those big brown eyes, always amaze me. We use to be a family of blue-eyes. However, my grandfather, that I was named after, (James) had brown eyes. My mother has a one brown & one blue eye. Interesting?

When Jake was little he use to get really upset because he didn't have blue eyes. It was very difficult! My mother pointed out that she had one brown eye :) That seemed to cure the problem. Ethan & Ely have green eyes (like their Mom), Tyson & Rocco have blue eyes :) So we have a real cross section now :)

It was pretty funny, my husband, myself & our 2 kids have blue eyes. We also all have the same blood type. 0 neg. Not possible to have anything else, both T & I are O neg.

When our son was in the Navy, they made a mistake & typed him as O pos. Dog tags & all! When I first saw it, I laughed & jokingly told our son he must have been "switched at birth". OMG.... he got really upset, we had to get him re-typed to prove this was not true :) OMG... he looks just like me & my husband, but there was no convincing him that the Navy made a mistake! But they did!

Thank God he never needed any blood!
