Suspended - no Photoshop!

The Bokeh tones are just terrific with the creamy tone of the leaf.

There's something that is both eternally beautiful and at the same time haunting and fleeting about this image. I'm sure your stepfather would have loved it. It seems a self portrait at this time in your life. You have separeted from the tree and are floating by yourself. Still, the tree in the background, from which you have broken ties, nevetheless maintains a presence, and watches over you. Not sure this is what you meant, but this is what I read. Perhaps, subconsciously, you meant this.

Okay - so when you have a chance, will you look up your exposure settings for me on this? The leaf is SO crisp and sharp with super detail ... with such a shallow DOF. Nicely captured!

I'll look up the settings tonight. This was suspended by one invisible strand of a spider web. It caught my attention immediately and I had to take a picture of it. Thanks for the thoughtful comments, everyone. Emmanuel, you may be right that my subconscious was in play here.

The exposure and saturation is superb Kim. You nailed it lucky with the help of a little spider! ^_^

F6.3, 1/80, 500 mm lens (it was the one I had on the camera) and ISO 400.

By the way - I just tried three different ways to send an e-mail to you at the same address that you e-mailed me from. It keeps bouncing back with a permanent failure saying that I'm spamming you. Do you know any way I can get around that?

I'll try adding you to my "safe" recipients and see if that works. Not sure what's happening!
