rblaser 0 Posted July 4, 2007 True, they're very finnicky models. The trick is to use lots of flattery & fiddler crabs. :-) Link to comment

r_horvath 0 Posted February 29, 2008 This is not a photo. Octopi are cephalopods. Cephalopods have no skeletal structure. They get they're shape from being in the water. That being the case when they are out of the water they do not look like this. This is not a photo of an octopus and does not belong grouped with the other actual underwater photography. rblaser 0 Posted March 3, 2008 yes, octopuses are cephalopods, which are invertebrates (although be careful, the nautilus and cuttlefish are both cephalopods which do, to some degree, have 'skeletal structure'). This is a real photo of an octopus, which has been manipulated in photoshop. I'm confused, though - I did not group it with other underwater photography...just with miscellaneous other images, most of which are not underwater...? Link to comment
jquantz 0 Posted March 3, 2008 Great image, Rachel! I don't need to know the skeletal structure to enjoy your image and post processing work! Some people... Nice portfolio as well. Best, JQ Link to comment
lisa_jensen1 0 Posted March 3, 2008 This picture is so haunting. Great work Rachel, I love it! Link to comment
rblaser 0 Posted March 13, 2008 Thanks for the compliments! And I understand now - apparently it was placed in an 'underwater' category by the photo.net editors. For what it's worth, the photo of the octopus itself WAS taken while the octopus was underwater...so the categorization is not entirely inappropriate.... Link to comment
crina 0 Posted July 3, 2008 This is amazing...I can't describe this photograph! Congratulations!!!! Link to comment
