I'm not sure this is the final.... I really don't like anything I've shot so far on this assignment...so bear with me till I find the look/feel....darn rain....

Was all set to comment, but will wait for your final. I will just quickly say that this moved me and leave it at that.

Thanks... I'm kinda in a holding pattern... All three ideas I had required being outside... I kinda thought I'd wait on a comment or two.... Thanks again

Good. I like it too. Very nicely thought out. I love the muted tones Dennis.

Kathy's approval, now yours...I'll accept it. I'm not satisfied.... There's a old road that is weed covered that I really wanted to do, but the #1 idea was a burmuda grass runner as the only thing left on a cleanly trimmed drive or sidewalk....darn rain...

I love the shade of green that you choose for this and the abstract qualities of the grass that are shown so well in this quad tone...This would work even without the stones cause somebody FORGOT to cut the grass!

Great Work.

Love the tone and composition! Being who I am, this made me think that it would be cool to try this with bare footprints leading from one of the headstones. The only gripe I have is that I can't tell which way the footprint is going! All and all...pretty cool!

This one just seems to not be up to what you can do ~ your not there yet. BUT I like where your going on it.

I was really moved by this (where have I heard that before). Seriously, I love the way you've used space here. You've given me a universe of grass as the setup and visual lead to the tombstones and set a little trap for me in the foreground. Adherence to the theme is obvious. What's creative is your perspective and the magnitude you've suggested by the composition and treatment.

Funny ~ during the daytime (with more light) I can see this picture much better.

I can see your footprint now.

This does show space and I do love the way you shot it.

I do hope it does stop raining for you. Are you going to try this again?

Interesting... I thought the object in the foreground was an ovewrgrown grave...

At first I didn't like the treatment, but it definately grew on me.

Excellent idea!

lightning took my wireless broadband down... It is a over grown grave of a person named Pat Henson (I believe). I'm glad you guys have a feel for this... I'm not real happy with it... I took a break at work, needed to check out some communications stuff over at another building, decided to go ahead and walk across the street to this cemetery. Needles to say, my shoes and pants were drenched, and the mosquitoes had a fresh meat.......really wanted to do a closer to the ground shot looking back at the other head stones...Thanks again for the kind words..

Dennis,

The perspective is interesting but frustrating cause of the size of the image I have to scroll and that takes a lot away. I do think there was a lot of potential and agree with your thoughts on lower down shots.

Thanks for the comments, Ger, especially on the size.. I'll keep that in mind when cropping something like this.... Thanks

Dennis, I had the same idea at the begining of the week but was too busy to get out to get the pic that I wanted. This is far better than I would have done though. The footprint and color ties it all together. :O)

Dennis, I loved finding the forgotten grave in the foreground. Fantastic composition for this subject. My favorite so far. The surreal lighting is interesting. The graves look great, but the green in the grass is a little distracting. Excellent shot, O

Dennis, super image well setup and captured, I like that you see the footprint and have to go all the way to the top of frame to see the grave stones. Well done Rich.

The toning on this really sets the mood well for what we are looking at. I like the subject for this but I'm wondering how a different angle might affect the impact.

I love the tones you used. The desaturated green is "so old and dead looking" -perfect! Great DOF with the other stones in the background - this is great! I like this!

Hi, Dennis! I thought about heading to a cemetery to find a forgotten grave, but never did...glad you did...this fits the theme so well. Interesting choice of color treatment. I like it.
