I can't help but wonder what their screening process is. Or do they

only promise to get you to the gate and leave entry to the customer?

David Meyer running full power here. Again, a hilarious catch. A good thing they got the order of the lines on the sign OK. Though I think they made a mistake in the upper line - it's not supposed to read "Heavenly Gates"; it should say "Heat Evenly Gates". Do you think they could make pizzas there when not in use as a funeral home? Not far from where I work is a funeral home called "Simple Alternative" - indeed. Cheers, Micheal

I'm not surprised you see the humor in this where our previous stern Germanic sort did not. I think you should definitely get pic of the "simple alternatives" place. I love that name too. Peace

Heaven looks like a so-so deal.

I like the little cannon (right above the V) where they shoot the souls into orbit.

A technical quibble: the shadow areas behind the hearse are almost totally black on my monitor; in fact, the car blends completely into them.

I hadn't thought about the cannon shooting the souls. Like the concept. I took this right at dawn in really crappy light with a light rain. I, too, was unhappy with the dark area, and would have liked to have shown the detail of the hearse. I tried to use the dodge tool, but did not have any luck. So, I guess my lack of skill is precluding my making the image the way I had hoped to.

Our local funeral home used to be called "Jolley Mortuary" (that was their last name)...I should have taken a picture before they changed the name.

Here's an attempt with the same technique I used on your ominous machine photo. The black part of the hearse is a real problem.

That was a super ironic name for the funeral home. Frankly, I can't believe that anyone would use it (even if their name was "Jolley"). And, I can't believe you didn't record it for posterity. LOL

Thanks for your efforts. I had tried dodging the area, but that always has great inherent disadvantages, and seldom works out for anything but the most modest alteration.

Everything I've ever heard is that the dodge and burn tools in PS are to be avoided. They were introduced early on, and aren't much use.

You probably won't see this revision, but I was able to show the black part of the hearse. I think this is better.
