Donna Stavis 0 Posted June 28, 2007 Tim, your dog looks like he was a lovely companion--both soulful and good looking. He outshines your beautiful tones and textures and framing. What a handsome, good-natured expression! Link to comment
michaelging 1 Posted June 28, 2007 Tim , by the title I would think that you no longer have this great animal. I am very sorry for that. I am sure you miss him as a friend, I will miss seeing photos of him and your other dog, running on the beach,or in the forest, enjoying the moment as only dogs can. As a dog owner and dog lover I understand how you would follow him anywhere, I am sure he felt the same way toward being with you. Thanks for sharing this photo and all the other photos of this great dog. http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=5064739 I always liked this photo, you captured their joy very well. jgalyon 0 Posted June 28, 2007 alas, a pet photograph worth rating! this is simply gorgeous in every respect. technically...couldn't be more sound... and totally captivating to the eye. i love it. hopefully others who post shots of their pets will be inspired to actually attempt a good photograph and not just a snapshot that doesn't do them or their pet any justice. best regards, john p.s. - if my comments sound provocative to others viewing...it's intentional. the pet category has become the joke of this site for the reasons mentioned above. tholte 16,678 Posted June 28, 2007 Thanks for the nice comments, it is a real joy photographing my dogs. This one passed away over a year ago but we recplaced him with two scallywags that we got from a Humane Society in Bowling Green, Kentucky. That is also one of my favorites Michael! Link to comment
lizweisiger 0 Posted June 28, 2007 I think the way you captured him is perfect. He looks regal and loving and beloved. The composition is beautiful, but alas, adds to the sadness of his passing. Link to comment

lonebearimages 0 Posted June 30, 2007 Tim, I can totally relate, I lost my beloved rottie in December 2006, and thought I wasn't gonna make it. I still miss that mutt so much. I've posted pics of her too. This is a marvelous photo of a marvelous-looking animal. Cheers! Chris Link to comment
