sir watt 0 Posted June 26, 2007 I love this place. The extreme altitude doesn't allow anything to grow up. Since there's nothing interesting in the sky I would prefer to have the telescope in a higher position. In this way you could have more ground in the lower part and perhaps include some detail in the foreground in order to give some depth to the shot. Link to comment
stevebryson 0 Posted June 27, 2007 for the comment. My intent was to capture both the colors of the mountain and to place the domes in the vastness of the sky. You know, something suggesting "exploring the vastness of the universe". There is some foreground in the original shot, but it is railings and stuff and is very busy. I found it pretty distracting. If anyone has suggestions on how to get the "vastness of the sky" thing across better, let me know. Or am I trying to do too much trying to capture the mountain and the sky in the same shot?
