cherlyn 1 Posted June 25, 2007 Exceptional light, clarity & composition. The shoes seeming to wait for its owner to come back. Link to comment

jim_hoffman 1 Posted June 25, 2007 Intriguing picture.Outstanding light.Perhaps the object in the right lower corner is a bit distracting? Greetings,Jim Link to comment
hugh_hill 0 Posted June 25, 2007 Amazing light and curious chamber with the monks smock laid over the bench and sandles at its trunk, one of them sitting over the lip of a drop and to where one asks? Is it a simming pool? great work once again David Link to comment
adan1 0 Posted June 25, 2007 Intriguing and very well done. It's amazing the significance that clothes carry and define who we are. The robe is carefully laid out on the bench yet the shoes did not receive that same attention. The physical body might be gone but perhaps it will come back again to fill another pair of shoes? I know it is blasphemous to link this with reincarnation but that is one of the interpretations that comes to mind. Or perhaps he is just taking a shower and will return. Link to comment

jeffl7 0 Posted June 26, 2007 Okay, with my limited Western experience and imagination, I see a coffin. I see a body or at least the outer shell of who this person used to be. I see the entrapments of the flesh cast away. I see the spirit glowing, emanating from the center, and expanding to fill the shadows. Nicely done. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted June 26, 2007 David, this is a very enigmatic composition, I tried to understand what is the figure? was a figure? why is it tied up with the white cord? many questions, no answers.... as a composition, I find the light fitting the theme a bit dark and mysterious. very interesting and needs explanation! Guest Guest Posted June 27, 2007 This is very strong image, I see a coffin too, endless cross and the horizontal lines with the shoes on, the path of our life, we are born and we die and born again.Vertical position of the shoes means to me the life stop at this second.Beautifully done, the light and shadow is significance here too. Regards. Link to comment

daily_photograph 0 Posted June 27, 2007 I dont try to top the previous comments by a hymn althought the shot is worth it. So merely a question: The light, has it been like this or did you change something postprocessing? (Whatever the answer is, there is no difference in the artistic value :-)) Link to comment
kaushikphotography 0 Posted June 28, 2007 Exquisite. Great light, DOF, exposure and the composition. Brilliant. Link to comment
