Americans are 'marketed to' all the time with a continual blitz of

images of 'how they should be' and/or 'how life should be' according

to unknown people who are trying to sell things. This is how one

marketing 'genius' thought glasses wearers 'ought to look' and how

one glasses wearer looks in reality. Your ratings and critiques are

invited and most welcome. If you rate harshly or very critically,

please submit a helpful and constructive comment; please share your

superior photographic knowledge to help improve my photography.

Thanks! Enjoy! John

Thanks for the accolade on the caption Note: this is the second (II) photo with the same caption - you might try looking for the other; it's got a similar theme, but with more geometry. It's also found in my Presentation: Photographers Watch Your Background' which is just huge -- hundreds of photos, which can make for some interesting reading, as each photo has an explanatory paragraph or two (often gleaned from the colloquy of these comments).

Thanks for commenting.

The difference between dreams and reality is that dreams cannot be touched,

but reality can!

How are you? where are you? and what are you upto?

Here's to you amigo where ever you may be.

and Bella.

I didn't know you both were fans, but then, Hugh, as a fellow 'street' phtographer who has produced some wonderful shots, (and with a golden heart I am told), you (both) are very discerning critics, so your words touch my heart also.

I'm in the USA ready to go back to Ukraine after a wait for some business; trying to work on getting some prints ready for showing to agents, and other potential buyers, and work on a web site, but I miss being and shooting in Ukraine (I shot pelicans at ELkhorn slough yesterday -- they move rapidly and unexpectedly as they fly, much like people in crowds and such bird (flock) shooting is much like shooting street for the reflexes it requires.

That keeps my skills up; Californians (I am in California), live their lives in their jobs, in their cars, in their homes, and what are the chances of 'street photography' in California outside of large cities.

In Ukraine any city has a lively 'street' life. That's why I like photographing there -- and kept going back until I literally took a flat there.

I do have many more shots to post, though, so my (virtual) friends, I can keep this PN maw fed just from shots from my new 'home'.

Thanks for letting me know about your like for such shots -- I never know about such things until somebody tells me.
