Excellent shot. Bert, I hope you will not take this the wrong way since you are a photographer with many years of experience. I sense 'growth' especially in the most recent photos on PN. Congrats.

How could I possibly "take the wrong way" an important compliment of growth from you? If you had told me that I had remained stagnant, however good, bad or indifferent, I would have been disappointed. Thank you for your comment...Bert

In about the middle of Europe, between Germany, Switzerland and Austria, there is a lake, called "Lake Constance" or, as the German speakers call it "the Bodensee". In the German part, close to Austria, a little town nestles on an Island, called "Lindau". The hotel, Hotel Bayrischer Hof overlooks the pleasure harbour of Lindau. This shot was taken from the window of our room there.

Now you probably know more than you wanted to know. Sorry, but I do go on when I talk about a place I like...Bert

My husband and I would like to visit Austria some day - he has family there.

...when is "someday".??...I've been told that "someday" never comes...

Plan for a trip in July/August/September for next year. Austria and the surrounding areas are beautiful any time of the year. I enjoy it when it's warm and I can go swimming in one of the alpine lakes....how cold are they???

So stop wishing and start planning.:-) ... Bert
