cherlyn 1 Posted June 23, 2007 Taken in the Financial district of Singapore. ALl the tall buildings are Banks. The statue is Sir Stamford Raffles who founded Singapore in 1819. I have also attached a colour version. The title was inspired by Jeff's comment. Thanks Jeff. Link to comment

jeffl7 0 Posted June 23, 2007 Cheryln, This is one of my favorite shots of yours. Truly outstanding in how you have managed the tones and subject matter. I think the statue, acting as a human representation of a skyscraper, continues a message of self-importance--"I built that." Great work. Link to comment
davidorea 1 Posted June 23, 2007 Lovely scene, dear Cherlyn. Exquisite composition with beautiful clouds, shapes, light and shadows. Excellent POV and DOF. I prefer the B&W version. Congrats! Link to comment

richard hans 0 Posted June 24, 2007 Very nice perspective, perfect light & contrast, Cherlyn, fantastic cityscape, love the both!!! Best regards Link to comment
katzpjs 50 Posted June 24, 2007 I like the B&W version best and I love that you've chosen to show the whole scene tilted a little bit. I was going to comment on the fact that the statue of Elvis is a bit soft, but since you've identified him as being someone else I'll assume that is the way he normally appears. Nice image!
