hansendj 0 Posted April 20, 2006 I'm curious why after almost 18000 views of this photo no one has left a comment till now. Is it because you didn't ask for one? Or is it because this is rather disturbing and pointless? I don't see the reason for taking this picture and posting it here. Sorry, but when I see this picture, and others which you've taken of people in sad states, it comes across as though you are doing it to get the attention for yourself... like you deserve recognition for this photo of someone else's suffering. The thing I think about most when I see this picture is you climbing on walls to try and take this picture. Why are you going to all the trouble to get this shot which I don't think does anything except capture the image of a smashed bus and some people staring at it. What is that supposed to mean?...wall is better than bus and these guys were surprised the bus lost the battle? Is that the message? I think I'm making assumptions about your attitude based on some of your titles also...many of which are tasteless IMHO... such as "human or social trash". You seem to be the one getting all the attention in that photo. I feel bad for the women not only because she is sleeping on the street, but because you're taking pictures of her for what reason? What are your feelings about the subject of what you shoot? Based on what I see and read it just seems like you're not in it to make a difference in anyone's life but your own. Buy one of the homeless people a warm meal and take a picture of the look on their face. That would have meaning...and purpose. Posting pictures of people being miserable and adding such titles as the one I pointed out don't do it so well. Like I said, I just don't see the reason for this kind of picture. I know I'm being rude now, but I'm just trying to understand at this point... Link to comment
