Julius, this is a fantastic take on the title. I can't think of anything stronger than a knowledgeable mind. The intentional haphazard placement of the books is wonderful and their colours work wonderfully together. And of course technically terrific as well. :)

Yes... I agree with Lyndsay. This shot is amazing to me. I never would have thought of such a still life. I love the crop, and the reflections are what do it for me.

Believe it or not, my wife is always reading, and the book idea was probably my third choice.... However, No way I could've pulled it off this well...Absolutely nothing to pick on technical or assignment... other than that damn "Who moved my cheese book...."

Another great message, well chosen books and I love the addition of the neatly tied bow, as if knowledge and strength are packaged here.

A very different take on the title! Well done Julius. This composition is really nice! I love the fact you have bread and cheese in here - strength for the body - strength for the mind! Well done!

I could see this being the cover of a really thoughtful card that you would give to a Graduate, and I mean that in the BEST way! Great cropping & lighting.

this is THAT good! he he he he

So your wife gets all the credit!

So she reads all these books? Hmmm

I have read the first one ~ didn't help me at all because I still stress! YES!

My husband is still from WAY OUT THERE!! There are no FACTS he doesn't know and I can't make BREAD. LOL

This is wonderful! I love how you framed it and the gold cord is perfect!

You thought really well with this one! AND you caught me off guard! WTG! :)

Thank you all.
Food for thought:
Be strong and don't sweat the small stuff.  Be strong to find your cheese [your goal, your passion] in the maze [of life].  Have a strong relationship with your planets in perfect alignment.  Know your facts for strong negotiation. Build a strong character; it is better than any great building.  Strength is not in gold but in wisdom.
Above all "Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God!"

"Saber es Poder" - Knowledge is power in any language. Great original take on the topic and I like your crop on the books which makes us stop to work out the titles. Great composition!

Julius, great image very sharp image I like the way you have stacked the books with the string adding that extra touch of intrest. Well done Rich.

Julius...this is very clever. I like the tight crop...just enough to get the point across and keep it interesting. I love the thought you put into the choice of books. The gold cord is a surprising addition and really adds that little bit of flair needed for interest as well as carrying out your intentions with the theme. I agree that this could be an ad or a card or an inspirational poster.

Julius! What a brilliant take on the theme! As an avid book reader myself, I can certainly relate on so many levels. Technically I find it superb also.

Julius,

Excellent take on the title again. Very well composed and executed shot. The bow is a nice addition.

Maybe I'm stupid or something but I was looked at this image 3 times now and don't understand the relevance of the two title upside down. Can you explain to me?

Julius, great idea well implemented. The image reflecting onto the lower book is a little distracting. Well done, Oliver

Julius, this is a very clever take on the word strength that never crossed my mind. The placement and purpose of each book is very well done. I was unfamiliar with two of them until I read your explanation. I must need to read more to gain some more strength through knowledge!

Yes! Yet another great take on this title! Nice placement of the gold book with the bow. It seems to invite the viewer to unwrap and absorb the strength of knowlege. I might like to see some fancy lighting on these but fear that it may draw attention to some books more than others. What I like the most about this is that it shows me who you are...which is exactly who I thought you are!
