This is a very original and creative perspective. It conveys shyness and hesitation, probably because of its condition and therefore cannot be too trusty.

So, I'm not a cat person (don't know what difference that would make?).

For me, the cardboard is too close and too much left. But, this is a stray.

Ellen, you are always so in tune with the little ones, your an outstanding person and photographer.
