ldavidson 4 Posted June 21, 2007 I tried to give this a 50's country look, something reminicent of Country & Western Ledgends like Buck Owens or Ray Price . I don't know if I was successful, I just used my imagination. Comments, critiques welcome. Link to comment
shadetothetrade 0 Posted June 21, 2007 I can almost here the drawl in his voice. This shot makes me contemplate what song he was singing... Excellent capture. Great little details (like the brick). Very nice indeed Linda. Link to comment

dangoldman 0 Posted June 21, 2007 Great composition. I would have maybe dropped the red tone back a little, but not much. Great timing as well, with the expression on his face. Ditto, the comment on the little things, like the brick. Reminiscent of when i used to tack up books under my foot to lift my leg (for classical guitar playing). Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted June 21, 2007 Great, effective treatment, capturing grittiness and nostalgia. Your son? One of the band? This could have been lifted from the archives of the Grand Ole Opry. From a kid who was raised on Hee-Haw, this resonates. Oops, did I admit that??? Link to comment
richardb 0 Posted June 22, 2007 This is a great moody picture. It really brings a feeling through. Good job. Link to comment
lbattjes 0 Posted June 22, 2007 Linda...this is a great idea and I love the details in this shot. I enjoyed "wandering" through it :) I agree on the comment to decrease the red a bit in the tones...but not much. Also, you might want to add some grain to add to the grittiness and old time look. Just a thought. Leslie Link to comment

ldavidson 4 Posted June 23, 2007 Jeff, Thank you. I was trying for that nostalgic old cowboy look. Nope, this isn't my son, this is a friend of his, Sam. He's with another band, Country Fair. Link to comment
ldavidson 4 Posted June 23, 2007 Hi Leslie, Thanks for commenting. I think I will try it again with the red toned down a bit. I like your suggestion of the grain. I wish I had thought of that. Good advice! All the best, Linda Link to comment

Emmanuel Enyinwa 0 Posted June 29, 2007 The passion in his face belongs in any era, even our own. Aesthetically, I think the sepia is a tad deep, but this is strictly a matter of personal taste. Link to comment
