the light balance and expression, mainly the singer's, are great. I think that maybe a closer point of view and wider lens, plus a slower shutter speed could have given it a more dinamic or dramatic feel

I love the lead singer's expression. I imagine he's a crooner. Correct? Regardless, this is a great photo.

Thanks for commenting Jeff. The lead singer is my oldest son. He isn't a crooner at all. His style is still being defined. It's been called 'Alternative Country', he hates this, and 'New Grass', and also 'Mountain, Bluesy, Honkey Tonk'. I would describe it as sort of a Country Rock with a touch of Blue Grass. I am not the least bit biased when I say that he and his band are incredibly good and totally original.

You made me laugh. Alt-country is my absolute favorite genre, second only to Cowpunk. Forgive the "crooner" comment. He seems so earnest and emotive in this photo. I'm glad he has a proud mama, and he should be proud in return to be immortalized so wonderfully.

I am not a big fan of concert photos but I like the way this draws out the performers and the instruments to the exclusion of wires and stage elements. Good effort.
