I love images like this. Great light and color, great composition. It feels nostalgic. The only thing I would like to see is more detail in the box at the top and the thing in the upper right basket.

John hit on the only distractions. I also love images like this. All of the shapes, textures and colors. Everything is in such a perfect position. Did you set this up?

Thank you. I'd re-shoot it when I am back in DC [July]. Anthony, I did not set this up. I found this in the new area that was just added ~ between Native American museum and national botanical gardens.

What keeps drawing my eye are the apples - the colours are beautiful, so if there's any distractions for me - it's that basket of apples. I don't suppose you got a closer shot of the apples? Really nice all around composition. What is this I'm looking at as the carrots almost don't look real - they look like they're really shiny - glazed or something.

It's been interesting reading what different people are drawn to. For me, it was the huge, vivid carrots in the middle and the interesting formation and varied lighting displayed on the grapes on the right. I do agree that the apples are interesting, too. I like the assemblage concept for this picture as you've captured it Julius, but I think you'd also have some interesting results with some isolated "looks" at several of thes items on display.

Excellent composed Julius :) love the freshness of the scene and despite there is a lot of elements to see you can perfectly look very easy the photo and keep all in one fine view!!!

Jan, Joe & Daniella ~ Thank you for your kind remarks.

Jan, you know why the carrots almost don't look real? Because none of the fruits, vegetables, plants, eggs [not in this shot] and herbs on this cart are real. I liked what I saw and wanted to capture it [as is].

I will re-visit and see what else I can come up with.
