Yeah, I would have loved to have been able to climb up this sucker, but you can see how far up the stairs start, and I obviously did not have a ladder. Peace

This is one aspect that us Europeans like about America these huge (over the top) things that you like to build. Looks completely unreal.. the red sky also helps to unify the other reds... yep cool one!!

But remember that not all of us are over the top types. I think there was a time and a place for that in our history, but in this era, it is mostly inappropriate.

You needn't worry. I'm not easily offended. Nor am I much of a defender of the U.S. Frankly, I think there are some serious problems in this country, and I'm certainly not proud of many things done by our government. And I understand exactly what you meant about over the top in reference to that sign, and in reference to much of what one sees in this country. Do not worry about speaking frankly with me. I appreciate it.

nice colours. It looks like it was a communication tower that got changed to a maxi-sign? Dave, keeping up with the spirit of this sign, you should have put (at least) an equally large sign underneath saying "Dave was here", or "Dave loves V8". Cheers, Micheal

Thanks again. I have no facts on this, but I'm thinking its first life was as a fire observation tower, and the motel rv sign part came later. I'm basing this on the stairway that you see. I wish it had been low enough for me to reach so I could climb up that sucker.
