Saludos.

I diagree strongly with the comment made that the composition has many flaws. In my opinion, composition is a very subjective idea. While obviously there can be exceptional and very poor compositions this is by NO means poor at all. I think the perspective, looking up at the train does a tremendous job at emphasizing the massive size of the train. In addition it allows for a good view of the exceptionally dramatic sky.

brilliant photo.

Whoever critiqued the composition of these photographs doesn't know their a** from a hole in the ground. Wonderful work that shows off the power and majesty of these mighty engines as well as the lighting and effects that remind one of the hard work these railroad monsters did. As an award-winning photographer, I wish I had these in my portfolio...composition and all.

Jose,

This is a really great shot, the lighting is excellent and I personally don't think there is anything at all wrong with the composition. I really believe that photo.net should do away with the ability to rate photos anonymously - if you want to rate an image then you should at least be willing to stand by your decisions - maybe then there would be less occurrences of images like this receiving a 3/3 rating.

Love the shot,

Neil
