Dan: I like the perspective here...the large looking 'cub' seems to be in a little gulley...i like the dash of grass in his mouth...you've got some light in his eye...and i like that he is looking out of frame (this 'put the animal in the center' stuff is getting boring)...I also like the expression on his face, almost shy or sheepish...which these animals can be but are usually portrayed in an aggressive manner...Although I like the limited color palette, my only criticism is the vivid greens pull me from a subject that i find very interesting...i don't know how this would look in b/w...or maybe even desaturate the green? Ken PS If you haven't seen Grizzly Man, you might want to rent it...a very powerful documentary.
