nicolerenee 0 Posted June 17, 2007 I like this, its peacefull and still and yet foreboding at the same time. Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 65 Posted June 17, 2007 This is beautiful in its simplicity, Liz. Without that triangle of dark pond water, this would be just another picture. --Lannie Link to comment
John Peri 1,032 Posted June 23, 2007 Many thanks for your comment. I do indeed like landscapes, portraits, and all the other things that one photographs, especially children, but have chosen not to mix them up with the nudes that I post in majority on Photo net. That being said, unlike you, I will now comment on your photograph, which is presumably what you posted it for. It is actually a very attractive piece of work, giving the impression that it was taken just as a ray of sushine broke through the clouds overhead. The blend of colours is gorgeous, as is the reflection in the water. The vegetation in the foeground is a clever touch, though I would possibly be tempted to include just a little more of it, so as to still better balance the overall harmony of the design. As it is, you may consider removing those few strands remaining to the right of the frame in the foreground. Some will argue for a straight horizon, though frankly, I have always considered that to be a nosensical requirement for a landscape. Excellent work. I hope to see many more of these, though you may possibly consider developing equal tolerance for other's preferences too. Link to comment
lizweisiger 0 Posted June 23, 2007 John, thank you for your very kind and helpful words. You almost said it, but were decent enough not to - that I don't deserve such a reward from you. I apologize for being a snit. Link to comment

iancoxleigh 0 Posted July 19, 2007 Again, I love the light here! The reflections upon, and the blackness of, the water is very nice too. I agree with John though, I would either include some more of the foreground grasses (if this is a crop at all) or clone out those peaking in from the bottom other than those in the corner.
