dougityb 0 Posted June 17, 2007 Nice sky (sort of), not so nice shadows (my opinion). Yours? Link to comment
stembaughphotography 0 Posted June 17, 2007 I like the sky. Speaks for the storms that are on the outside of those doors that drive through those doors to go inside where we find the shelter and peace that we all need. Wonderful image! Link to comment
dougityb 0 Posted June 18, 2007 Thank you, David. I wish I could bring that sky with me and pull it out of a bag when needed, but worse, I don't think the lighting I want on this church will be available until late summer, perhaps fall, when the sun's angle is significantly lower. Link to comment
dennisdixson 0 Posted June 20, 2007 Great idea for a photo project, makes me want to dig out my old snaps of churches in Northern California. Link to comment
dougityb 0 Posted June 20, 2007 haha, Dennis, that's funny. :-) I mean, in spite of the fact that they're both wooden christian churches from the same general era, I would never see one with that design around here. Thanks for posting it. Link to comment
antanas.strazdas 0 Posted June 21, 2007 Perfect lighting and mood, very good B&W work, best regards. Link to comment
g1 0 Posted July 12, 2007 I luuuuuurve churches! This is my fave from your collection here so far. The sky sets it off, the tones look spot on, the angle is great (I'm not so keen on the face-on shots - they look a little flat). Come to England for churches, you won't be bored! Oh.... and when do we get to see the interiors?? Glad you're still shooting Doug and hope the Carpel Tunnel improves. Can't you have an op to loosen the tendons? Link to comment
dougityb 0 Posted July 13, 2007 G, no interiors! No way. Don't even think about it! The cts is not an official diagnosis, so no surgery at this point. Hopefully, not ever. Link to comment
