crtslex 0 Posted June 11, 2007 Beautifully shot. The prop blur, which I think is important in most shots, is perfect in both planes. It does bring to mind an aviation related question though: Should one ever taxi ones Mustang with the flaps down? Nicely done. Link to comment
shacknav 0 Posted June 17, 2007 Lovely colourful (OK, colorful) shot and cropped just right to hold all the interest. Pity about the bonedomes but I guess it makes sense. Re flaps - standing instructions in the RAF, admittedly some time ago, was flaps up to avoid any possibility of FOD. Regards.....Pat. Link to comment
k5083 1 Posted June 18, 2007 Thanks guys. Normally I don't get hung up on prop blur but in this case I decided to try for it. The two aircraft were starting up on the ramp in front of me and I waited until they revved up, just before they started rolling, to hit the trigger. You can see the front aircraft was revving just a little faster. I am happy to have this one in medium format because even though I had to crop away most of the picture to get to this semi-panorama, what is left is still bigger than two whole 35mm frames, so I won't be afraid to make a big enlargement. I'm thinking of printing an 8x24" of it. Link to comment
