Atmospheric shot with a glorious pastel sky in the b/g. Is this a specially modded P40 to afford the two-up configuration - don't think I would like to try and get out of the rear seat in a hurry, the health and safety 'nazis' must have missed this one. Regards...Pat.

Hi Pat, yes this one has a jump seat behind the pilot. There's plenty of room there, and I think that the rear glass may hinge sideways to allow access, so it would be one of the more accessible jump seat conversions. At the same show I saw a Sea Fury where the pilot's seat actually had to be removed to permit the passenger to get behind him under the single bubble. The only way that poor slob is getting out in the hurry is if the canopy is jettisoned altogether.
