jim craig 0 Posted June 14, 2007 Boring???? Not at all Janis, in fact very nice, lots of detail on the fly and nicely placed on the blossom which is just soft enough and in contrast so as to make the fly really pop. Link to comment
syalphotography 0 Posted June 17, 2007 Great capture and awesome details here, Janis!! Thanks for your kind visit and ratings! Best regards, Rakesh Link to comment
torfinn 0 Posted June 19, 2007 A very good shot Janis. Great colours, details, and sharpness. Great DOF too. Best regards, Torfinn. Link to comment
jan_piller 0 Posted June 19, 2007 I love your title! Flies are so annoying - this is a great macro. Incredible focus Janis and really nice background - I like the two little yellow petals echoing the flower back there - very nice! Link to comment
abintraphoto 0 Posted June 21, 2007 Possibly my most memorable shot that 'got away' on this trip .... was a rainbow colored fly that landed on a sawed off tree limb - the growth rings exposed under him .... not so boring East Texas ..... Just so you know - (-; Link to comment
janisok 0 Posted June 21, 2007 ....okay....okay.....Here's your Gin and Tonic! ...just so you know! J Link to comment
rogerleekam 0 Posted June 21, 2007 Excellent macro. The whole fly is in perfect focus, not easy, and you preserved the eye color. Link to comment
j.k._york 0 Posted June 21, 2007 i know its kind of tech nerdy to ask, but what gear were you using to capture this? great DOF and subject fly is nice and sharp. a most difficult exposure to control with what looks like direct light, but done well. good angle with flower on the diagonal. nice. regards, J.K. abintraphoto 0 Posted June 21, 2007 Ha - now you're going to have to look in the manual to answer that one - lol .. Link to comment
janisok 0 Posted June 21, 2007 J.K., First off, ignore Mr. Smart A!! I was using my Sony DSLRA-100 w/a Sony 3.5-6.3/18-200. After that I ran it through PS for minor adjustments. I had it on manual settings and took lots of shots. Does that answer your question or do I really have to get the manual out?? Don't ask, long standing joke...! Thanks for the very kind comment!
