In a city of great Mudéjar towers, this is possibly the best of

them all. This Mudéjar tower (13th century and renovated in

1993) with its brick façade, double series of arches and rich

decoration with ceramic details, is the twin of San Martín. It

is probably a bit more recent than the very similar tower of San

Martín, but its osition over a narrow road going downhill gives

a terrific view. Both San Martín and this one contain a plain

tower inside of the ornate one, but it's only El Salvador that has

steps between the two towers enabling ascent. The tower is one of ten

Mudéjar monuments of Aragón that form part of UNESCO's

World heritage.

Mudéjar is the name given to the Moors or Muslims of

Al-Andalus, who remained in Christian territory after the Reconquista

but were not converted to Christianity.

Muy bien compuesta y me gusta como manejas el contraste, ese detalle que se puede apreciar en la oscuridad del alero es fantastico. Saludos.
