just noticed someone gave you a "4" on aesthetics...of course w/ no name or comment attached...what kind of mindless, conscienceless stooge could say "average" to anything about this photo? jeez louise....

From a point of sharpness, and colors, this is a great macro,

But the little leaf at the left bottom distracts a little.

All, thanks for the comments. Hasan, thanks for pointing out the distraction; I agree now that you focus my attention there. Here's a different crop - however with these lily petals as a background (and I was amazed at how the white background enhanced the colors and detail of the dragonfly), you clean one up and then another pops up as distraction. Needs a different background I guess. Thanks again.

The left darken corner was another "little" distraction.

Now, I like the second composition far better, though it's "tighter".

Definition is amazing and this picture stands out but why is larger just about the same size as small format and you ask to view it larger? Check out my "larger" if you want to know what I mean. I was expecting to be blown away 'cause the small format does kick butt already.

Pascal, I typically upload only 1024x whatever, not full high-res images. But PN usually further reduces and I usually see additional jpg noise that I don't like, so that's why I say "view larger" to get the clearer version. Am I wrong?
