james.watt 0 Posted June 8, 2007 Wonderful shot. Was it really this colour? The reason I ask is that the reds seem a tad strong (more red than brown). Great timing, DoF, crop, etc. James. Link to comment
awareness 0 Posted June 9, 2007 Hi Marina, I love your work and it has really inspired me. I actually purchased aCanon EF 100-400 f/4.5-5.6L IS USM after seeing your work. I use it a lot because I find it really versatile but I do find the DOF disappointing at times. I atually think that is the only problem I find with this photo. The subject is great as well as the pose of the bears which is somewhat irresistable to give up on with this shot. I find the DOF field problematic in relation to the colours of the bears and the background. I would almost be tempted to alter the background completely somehow just to keep what is a great shot of the bears. I am curious as to your thoughts on this photo. Link to comment
marina-cano 0 Posted June 9, 2007 Thanks for your comments. James, this was the real colour. Allan, yes I don't like the DOF in this shot. Background weren't too far of the bears. Thanks a lot for your opinion. Link to comment
wedeko 0 Posted June 10, 2007 Great wildlife shot! I really love the composition. Motherbear standing on top of the rock and the baby watching through her legs. The color and background fits all very well together, so a pleasant photo to view :) Thanks for sharing and very well done! Link to comment
fred_vnoucek 0 Posted August 13, 2007 No question, a rare shot and an unique Situation. The cub under the Belly makes the Foto. The big copyright-mark I find very disturbing, but as this is not part of the photo (for me) I do not consider that for the rating. After the author statet this as original colors, I have to believe that. Otherwise IMO this is hardly hit by yellow/orange, but I heard that Canon Sensors sometimes produce this :o)))) The BG is not too much disturbing for me, it somehow supports the all-over scene. The subjects itself seem to me not perfectly sharp. Rgds Fred Link to comment
