Well, maybe i'm going to be a little less enthusiast than the 2 critiques above. This kind of beetle is just great. This species is very threatened where i live and it's not frequent to see one, so i noticed your pic instantly in the trp. Focus is good on thorax and head but i really regret you cut the legs, when quite a bit of empty space remains in the upper part of the photo. The bg is not very nice but at least it's not distracting. Also - but maybe it's my screen - it looks a bit dark, i'd like to see more detail on the lucane's body.

sincerely thanks for your opinion. unfortunately my camera is not so performant to focus in macro mode so close, and the bug was moving, of course. i have one more photo on it. and i'm posting it right now.
