Benjamin Herman (dutch jazz-sax-virtuoso) and band (4AM)

I think this is a very good effort; it definitely stands out from the crowd due to the tone and the stark lighting. The perspective is excellent, with a very strong diagonal provided by the sax. The direction of the light provides very good definition of the musculature on the face. I could wish for another light above and behind to provide a bit of separation rim lighting. I also might try a bit of dodging on the eyes to lift the shadows there just a little. Too much though and it would look unnatural; so maybe it's best as is. The photo definitely conveys well the intensity and concentration of the musician.
