I think this is a lovely shot. I like the black and white. Maybe the flash is a bit strong but not much. I think I might have included a bit more of the little one's hands (kind of emphasises their closeness and looks a little bit awkward to me as it is) and maybe I'd shift them a touch more off-centre.. Nice background.

the image a feel like it was taken 30 years ago. I think its a great image, perhaps not what you were after, but very sucessful. The line of breakers behind them is perfect. You should be very happy with this photo, and thanks for sharing!

I think that this is an absolutely wonderful touching photo!

 

I agree that a little more of the hands would be good, but am not completely sure I would have noticed it on my own.

 

As far as it goes with the fill flash... I do not think that it is too strong at all, infact, I think it exposes the photo perfectly! They are on the Beach, there should be a little squint in the eyes, and it allows for the background to really shine.

Thank you for your kind comments. It's always nice to get a couple good nuggets out of a boat-load of images taken during one session! Their mother is in love with this one! They are adorable and very photogenic lil' gals that have fun together. I'm out there again with the camera... so I hope to catch more images like this (ones that emit feeling). Love the BW on this one.

I think all the beach shot in BW would be great.

Agree with the hand issue but that is only a minor issue.

I am commenting from your portfolio where I quickly glanced ahead and all your portraits look so wonderful. As this one is! On to the next!

I am an amatuer, so I don't know much of the technical stuff. However I felt the love and tenderness of the moment with your capture, and isn't that what this picture is all about? Very Good!!!

I was out for a moment but I am glad I did come back to visit...I support previous comments about this photo....Lovely moment, I like its touching simplicity, BW tone and light support it wonderfully...
