I love what you've done here. This is almost surreal in the way the bridge seems to head off the end of the earth into that very calm and luscious cloudy sky. You've created a wonderful sense of depth and a little foreboding (at least to me) about even beauty having its perils.

It leads the eye to infinity, but the hazy day and subtle colours reveal a well hidden temporary sadness of minor problems in everyday life..But on the other hand, the sweet white clouds add optimism to the composition. My congratulations for a photograph nicely taken and which is one of your best.

looks to me like the path to heaven, and i see you made sure to not only smell the roses, but touch the petals as well. very nice!

Beautiful picture with a certain surreal quality to it. Nice perspective with complementing colors. It is inviting, serene and makes me want to step into this scene to partake in its ethereal mood. It also makes me wonder what is at the end of the path. Is there a precipice? Is this heavenly surrounding a last taste of joy before I plunge into something sinister, sort of like the prisoner having his last meal before being executed? Not knowing what lies ahead is probably worst than what it's there.

Adan has said it all better than I could. This scene is very tranquil and inviting, but I also wonder what is at the edge. It has a sureal 'light at the end of the tunnel' mood. It feels spiritual and at the same time almost too restful and soothing. Am I being 'led down the garden path' to what??

Very interesting and well done.

I like the path to heaven comment.Since it seems a little surreal, I would bump the saturation some and give it a more dream like look.Great perspective.( I just tried it at +70 with pscs2 and it looks awesome)

The viewpoint and perspective are great in this excellent composition. The clouds, contrast, symmetry, colors... very good work, Jeff! Regards!

i can't describe how much i like this photo.

what strikes me is the missing handrails as you reach the end of the line. what i feel is that there is some existential leap of faith suggested in a Kirkegaardian way. lovely composite. my wife and i are about to move to north carolina so i'll be less active here on PN till we get settled. take care my friend, J.K.

Jeff, thanks for your comments and suggestions on my Azalia. I wrote a reply back there but I came back to this because I was thinking about the image that this photo captures. There's anticipation in this shot. What's on the other side? It's left to the imagination. I can see it in my mind because I've seen footbridges like this since forever. But that's my interpretation of this shot, I want to walk out there and step onto the beach and walk in the hot sand and feel the breeze in my face and smell the surf. It's alive and to me it's Cape Cod, Wellfleet. (I know it isn't, but that's what I see), thanks.

Hi Jeff! This is Mrs. Bob - Anne Marie, and I just have to comment as well on your magnificent photo. It brings out so many feelings in me! I love the comments about "it's like a road to heaven" or something like that...It's so exciting to me - nothing foreboding at all...just incredibly exciting - like just taking the leap - having no fear - go for it ...- on the other hand, it's such a beautiful spot, I might no want to leave it at all...! Thank you so much!! for this gift of a shot! I want to go to there. really, where is it in Sandwich, what beach if I may ask? Bob mentioned you may have taken this last year?? Let us know... Thanks! Anne Marie

very nice Jeff. Everything has been said already.. I first thought it was digitally manipulated (sky added or something) so I'm impressed. I really like the fact that some of the handrails are missing.

This is in Sandwich next to the large boardwalk. This leads directly down to the ocean. I took this shot last Sunday on a walk with my wife. If you get a chance to go, it's beautiful and very photo-worthy.

Thanks all for nice comments on this one. This is a very special, peaceful place. Joseph, you color-junkie, you. The boost in color transforms this into something quite different, less foreboding and more inviting. Neat eye.
